Bruins Win 3-1 Without Bergeron

The 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway, and the top-seeded Boston Bruins got off to a winning start with a 3-1 victory over the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference First Round series on Tuesday night.
Brandon Montour tied the game with just over a minute remaining in regulation, and Carter Verhaeghe scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead in the series.
The Bruins were without Patrice Bergeron, who is out with an upper-body injury. However, they were able to overcome his absence and get the win thanks to a strong performance from their top line of Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak, and Jake DeBrusk.
Game 2 of the series is set for Thursday night in Boston.
